This dinner will likely be held at the hotel's fine dinning restaurant called the Palma Real around 6 pm, right after the celebration and pictures.  This will be announced once we find out the menu and drink options.

We can plan this all-day event on a huge catamaran that takes you to a tiny island for around $125 a head. They offer snorkeling, lobster dinner, unlimited supply of beverages - good times guaranteed! If we want a fun filled day on the ocean and in the sun, this is one of the best things we could plan as a group. CCC

Once we know who's all interested, we can get our Cuban friend Miguel to hook us up... We would probably end up renting a vehicle or 2 large enough to take whoever wants to come and check out the sights in the city.  Might be nice to check out a cigar factory at the same time.

Another all-day event for around $150.  You start off by getting groups of 4 and cruising around the Cuban back roads in a Tracker (booze allowed but not provided).  Bring stuff to give to kids as they take you through these little towns and children come running out to wave at you.  Show them the Canadian way and give the street kids something with a Canada flag on it and they will remember you forever (or at least til the jeep tour passes through).  Then they take you to the mouth of the Mantazas River and you trade your Tracker for a little 4 person speed boat (don't drive ur boat close to TB!). You'll cruise up the river to a little village where you have lunch and see the sights.  Then it's back in another set of jeeps for the ride home.  They also stop at Saturno Cave on the return trip so we can check out the underground cavern and have a swim in freshwater underground springs - pretty cool..

Cool little underground cave (as most are) that's close to our hotel - costs about $5. per peep to get in.  Can get there on a scooter (which costs around $25. to rent/day from the hotel).

Check some pics of Cueva Ambrosio if you want to see what you're in store for - it's worth going to visit even if just for half an hour.

Warning: if you are scared of bats, do not go unless you're ready to face your fears... they don't bite :)

Another underground cave that you can go swimming in close to the airport. They have a bar, but don't go when there's lots of touristas cause they jack up their prices.. costs about $10.  (The jeep safari also takes you there.)

Here are some pics of the cave

Snorkeling or diving at Coral Beach is a totally awesome "Oasis Channel" experience that our friend Miguel could organize for us. This is one of the best coral reefs in the world!
